New Jersey State Policy on Prohibiting Discrimination in the Workplace Training

Course Description

This interactive online training program provides a comprehensive review of the New Jersey State Policy Prohibiting Discrimination in the Workplace. The program is required for all New Jersey State government supervisors and employees. Specific information is provided on protected categories, prohibited behavior, employee, and supervisory responsibilities under the State policy, as well as confidentiality and retaliation.

Learning Objectives

After completion of the course, you will be able to:

• Define zero tolerance as it relates to the State policy
• Identify and define the protected categories in the State policy
• Review examples of prohibited discrimination
• Identify and define prohibited behavior, particularly sexual harassment, hostile work environment, and third party harassment
• Describe the specific responsibilities of supervisors and employees under this policy
• Define confidentiality
• Recognize retaliatory behavior under the State policy
• Identify some of the other resources available to employees to file their complaints
