Course Description

Team Building: Conflict Resolution (3-hour)

Team conflict is often avoided due to its negative connotation. However, conflict should be seen as an opportunity for growth. In any workplace, team conflict is inevitable, but when skillfully managed, it can lead to positive outcomes. By addressing conflicts effectively, we can mitigate resentment and develop productive and creative problem-solving teams. During this workshop, you will explore and apply proven mitigation techniques that resolve conflict successfully resulting in win-win solutions.

Learning Objectives

· Examine the role of conflict in teams and why encouraging it is critical to the success of teams.

· Identify the various types and stages of conflict commonly found in teams.

· Apply various strategies to de-escalate conflict in teams.

· Discover your conflict resolution style and how it can be used to analyze the impact we have on our

team members.

· Manage your emotions during conflict using Plutchik’s Wheel of Emotions.

· Apply a conflict resolution framework to uncover the root of team conflict.

 

Team Building: Multigenerational Team and Stress Management (3-hour)

Working with a multigenerational, high-performing team can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience. The diverse ideas and viewpoints of team members can generate innovative insights, drive workplace efficiency, increase personal competencies, and build healthy workplace relationships. During this course, you’ll practice active listening, examine how your team player style affects team dynamics, and apply stress management techniques intended to prevent burnout in an interactive and collaborative environment.

Learning Objectives

· Recognize the characteristics of high-performing teams.

· Examine your team-player style and its impact on team dynamics.

· Apply collaborative and communicative skills to work effectively with multigenerational, cross-

functional teams.

· Demonstrate effective collaboration skills: trust, active listening, compromise, and flexibility.

· Apply effective stress management techniques to reduce burnout.

 

Team Building (3-hour)

Successful working environments are heavily influenced by how well employees can operate as a team to solve problems and deliver results. In this one-day course, participants will discover their unique team player style while focusing on various teamwork fundamentals that contribute to a team’s success. Participants will also learn to navigate the different stages of team development, practice resolving conflict, and identify ways to establish innovate environments that foster both individual and team goals.

· Build an environment that promotes teamwork in which everyone is respected and recognized for their contributions.

· Examine your team player style, the different types of teams and acknowledge its impact on group

dynamics.

· Examine the stages of team development and its influence on improving teamwork.

· Evaluate your team’s norms and their impact on the team’s development.

· Apply effective techniques for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

· Develop strategies for dealing with team conflict and common problems.
