2026 New Jersey CPM Graduation

The theme of this year’s graduation is “Serving Together, Leading as One.”

Six cohorts participated in the 2026 CPM graduation held on September 25, 2026, with a total of 106 graduates. The graduating class was comprised of 32 State, 14 County, and 60 Local public sector leaders. The following cohorts were recognized:

• NJ5 Virtual
• NJ6 Virtual
• Lawrence Township 3
• Newark 9
• Wayne 7
• Westampton 8

This year, the Askew Award was presented to recipients from both the 2025 and 2026 graduating classes, as the award was not presented last year.

2025 Askew Award Recipient - Hernani Goncalves, Executive Director, Fort Lee Parking Authority – Freehold 6 – Parking Garage Structure Inspection and Fire Safety

2026 Askew Award Recipient - Judith Sanchez, Community Service Worker, City of Passaic Department of Human Services – Newark 9 – Wraparound Services for Individuals at Risk or Currently Experiencing Homelessness

The ceremony also marked the inaugural presentation of the Spirit of Service Award, recognizing a New Jersey CPM graduate who exemplifies a strong commitment to public service.

Detective Sergeant Chinere Jenkins of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office was honored with the inaugural Spirit of Service Award during the CPM Graduation Ceremony.
