In June 2010 EPA, DEP and DuPont reached an agreement to
allow residents in the ground water plume who have not yet
had soil gas sampling conducted or a vapor mitigation system
installed to choose their own contractor to conduct vapor
intrusion sampling. Eligible residents may also chose to reach
out to the DEP or DuPont to conduct this sampling as well.
The procedures to hire your own contractor to conduct subslab
and indoor air sampling are now available and can be viewed
on the EPA web page at https://www.epa.gov/region02/waste/dupont_pompton/.

DEP, EPA and DuPont have reached an agreement to allow
residents in the ground water plume who have not yet had
soil gas sampling conducted or a vapor mitigation system
installed to choose their own contractor to conduct vapor
intrusion sampling. Qualified contractors will be approved
by the NJDEP and EPA prior to conducting the sampling. Requirements
for contractors will be released shortly by NJDEP and EPA.

memorializes this agreement.

NJDEP vapor intrusion sampling is available for properties
located above the DuPont vapor mitigation area who have not
yet had a vapor mitigation system installed or any sub-slab
soil gas sampling conducted. See the above letter for additional
information.
