Q1. In the Electronic Web-Enabled Grant online application system, the grant application due date is February 13, 2024, which is earlier than the date shared in an email (February 29, 2024). Could you clarify the due date?
The Expanding Access to Climate Change Education and the New Jersey Student Learning Standards through Interdisciplinary Learning and Community Resilience Projects grant opportunity is due on February 29, 2024. The Expanding Access to Climate Change Education and the New Jersey Student Learning Standards through Climate Change Learning Collaboratives grant opportunity is due on February 13, 2024.

Program Implementation

Q2. Can grant money be used to pay for the solutions to the community partners' climate change challenges (smart thermostats for energy efficiency, materials for farming or forestation, etc.)? Are the professional development opportunities that come with the grant free or does the district have to pay to send the teacher? How many teachers are able to be part of the professional development opportunities that are part of the grant?
