Outdoor workers are at risk of exposure to tickborne diseases if they work at sites where ticks are present. NJDOH created an Outdoor Workers Tick Toolkit to help employers provide information to their employeesofhow to preventtick bites and tickborne diseases.Employersare encouragedtoprovide tickborne disease information to new staff and annually in early spring.

Outdoor workers should check with their supervisor if they have questions about tick exposureand should consult with a healthcare provider if they have concerns about tickborne diseases.
