Hearing Aid Project
Free refurbished hearing aids for eligible low-income seniors are available through our Hearing Aid Project, an innovative initiative launched by the New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DDHH). This is a program in partnership with Montclair State University, and Sertoma/Hearing Charities of America.
Program Eligibility:
- Age 65+ or have a hearing loss and are disabled receiving Social Security Disability Income SSDI
- New Jersey resident
- Annual income is less than $38,769 if single; $45,270 if married
If eligible and once your application is approved, you will receive information to complete an evaluation with one of our participating audiologists.
For residents living in Atlantic, Salem, Gloucester, Cumberland and Cape May counties, we are able to offer a mobile audiology service for your evaluation. Once your application is approved, you can schedule an appointment by contacting:
