[EXTERNAL]: GIS updates

Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment (CSRR) is pleased to announce revisions to the CSRR Geographic Information System (GIS) website and updates to the Administrative Requirements for GIS Deliverables guidance document to assist LSRPs, environmental consultants, and GIS professionals in submitting GIS data deliverables. The following GIS deliverables were addressed in this guidance document and for ease of use individual guidance documents with the same information specific to each GIS deliverable as follows:

In addition, the improved web page also includes GIS shapefile templates (https://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/gis/gis-deliverables-template.html) that can be used as a starting point to create CSRR required GIS deliverable data in the correct format.

Your compliance with the GIS submission requirements will allow us to serve the data back out to the regulated community as GIS layers in our SRP Profile in ArcGIS Online (AGO) web mapping application. These GIS layers provide useful and detailed information on the specifics of a remediation in a geospatial format.

Lastly, a robust Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) section is available at: https://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/gis/faqs.html. For other questions, topic-specific point of contacts are provided on: https://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/gis/contacts.html, or contact the Bureau of Information Systems at 609-292-9418 or SRPGIS@dep.nj.gov.

Training sessions regarding the updated guidance will be forthcoming.
