For Current Technical Proposals

Questions will be accepted up to question cut-off date noted in the technical proposal.

Question 1: Can the schedule, org chart and 2 “EXTRA 8 ½”x 11” PAGES” be fold out 11x17 pages?

Answer 1: Yes.

Question 2: Can the pavement design requirement be removed from the Geotechnical Engineer team leader since it’s a requirement of the Pavement Engineer team leader?

Answer 2: Yes.

Question 3: Can a Bachelor of Technology in Transportation with a NJ PE License fulfill the BS Engineering requirement for Utility Task Leader?

Answer 3: Yes.

Question 4: Should the Technical Write-up be between 4 and 7 pages or should it be 7 pages exactly?

Answer 4: The Key Issues write up can be a minimum of 4 pages and a maximum of 7 pages.

Question 5: Do you need to meet all listed experience requirements on all projects to receive full points for PM and Team Leader positions?

Answer 5: No, the requirements can be met cumulatively across more than one project.

Question 6:

Is it possible to download copies of the following documents which were referenced within the Final CD Report but were not provided as part of that Report:

  • 2006-2013 Mine Reports for Bull Frog Mine (Avalon Bay Development), various authors
  • January 2006 Geotechnical Assessment of Route 80 Exit 34, French Parrello

Answer 6: Discs with the Avalon Bay Bull Frog Mine Report, Mine Subsidence Report, Appendix B - As Builts, Photos, Assist Me Analysis & Memo, and US Army Sewer Plans & Photos will be available for pick up from the Main Office Building Security Desk. An email requesting the disc must be sent to PSPD.PSPD@dot.nj.gov 1 business day prior to pick up. The closing Date will also be extended to 7/21/15.

Question 7: Can the asbuilts for the following structures be made available? 1412-177, 1412-178, 1403-152, 1404-156

The asbuilts are stated to be in Appendix B, but it only lists the bridges and states that the plans are on the CD submitted with the report

Question 8: Can someone with a degree in geological engineering (BS, MS, PhD) and NJ Professional Engineer, practicing geotechnical/pavement disciplines for more than 30 years meet all the qualifications requirements (Section 9) for the pavement design task leader?

Answer 8: Yes.
