TP-167


Question 1: Will Site Manager experience obtained while working as a Resident Engineer be considered, if the project the Resident Engineer worked on did not have an office engineer or technical typist, and the Resident Engineer performed all the Site Manager work?

Answer 1: On Site Manager Project, the Resident Engineer experience will be considered comparable to Office Engineer experience including Site Manager work for projects on which a separate individual was not assigned as the Office Engineer or Technical Typist.The resume must indicate that the RE performed all the Site Manager work.

 

Question 2: This is a pavement reconstruction project. The project provides pavement rehabilitation in the municipalities of Neptune, Asbury Park, Loch Arbour and Allenhurst. The project also provides for the upgrade of 17 signalized intersections, and 12 unsignalized intersections to current ADA standards.”

 

“Road Inspector (1): Project experience will be considered as of a similar size and complexity if the project construction having a value of $5M or more and the project substantially consists of roadway resurfacing.”

 

Question: Please clarify to ensure that the related experience would only be counted as similar experience if the projects over $5M involving pavement/roadway reconstruction and not limited to surfacing projects.

 

Answer 2: The Department will considered similar experience if the projects over $5M involving pavement/ roadway reconstruction and also roadway resurfacing.

 

Question 3: Will Site Manager experience attained on projects administered by the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and Delaware River Port Authority satisfy the NJDOT qualification requirements contained in TP-167?

 

Answer 3: The Department will only considered Site Manager experience attained on NJDOT projects.
