The SADC, in collaboration with the American Farmland Trust, is offering land access workshops for beginning farmers.

The goal of the workshops is to help next-generation farmers determine their readiness to access land, understand land tenure options, and conduct good site evalutations when looking for land. The next workshop (2/28/19) will focus on Leasing and Purchasing Land. The previous workshop (10/25/18) focused on Assessing Your Financial Readiness to Access Land. Future workshops may focus on finding land, conducting a good land assessment, or other topics.

Upcoming Workshop - Assessing Farmland (4/8/19)

The next workshop, Assessing Farmland," will be held on April 8, 2019 at Duke Farms in Hillsborough Township.

Participants will learn how to conduct a land assessment by gathering relevant information about a land parcel, and they'll use certain criteria to evaluate a plot of land.

The registration link for the April 8 workshop will be coming soon.
