Information for Child Care Providers
- Effective March 6, 2017, Drinking Water Requirements. All child care center are required to complete copper and lead water testing. A water testing report for lead and copper is required if the center is serviced by a public community water system. Report should be attached to the DCF Drinking Water Testing Checklist (links to form) and the DCF Statement of Assurance (links to form). - Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Child care centers must annually review the CPSC list of unsafe children’s products and make the list available to staff and parents or provide the parents with the website. The list is available at https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/.
