New Jersey Domestic Violence Hotline

Child Abuse/Neglect Hotline

NJ Mental Health Cares Hotline

For emotional support dealing with stress, anxiety and depression due to COVID-19, speak with a behavioral care specialist at 866-202-HELP (4357) daily from 8am-8pm. You can also text NJHOPE to 51684.

Learn about rental assistance programs, homeless prevention programs, home energy assistance, and other assistance programs that you may be eligible for with this tool from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs.

Housing Counseling

NJ Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency offers housing counseling through a network of counselors in each county. Free counseling is available to help homeowners avoid potential foreclosure and to help renters approach discussions with landlords on dealing with their rent situation.

NJHelps

Check eligibility and apply for food assistance, cash assistance, and health insurance at njhelps.org, a one-stop website developed by New Jersey's Department of Human Services.

Long-Term Care Facility Complaints

If you have a complaint regarding a long term care facility, call the NJ Department of Health complaint hotline at 1-800-792-9770. If you are experiencing challenges in visiting a long-term care facility, call the Office of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman at 1-877-582-6992, or visit nj.gov/ooie.

ReachNJ - 24/7 Addiction Hotline

ReachNJ is a 24-hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week addictions hotline where people who have Substance Use Disorder or friends and family can get assistance and support from live, New Jersey-based, trained addiction counselors. ReachNJ will assist callers regardless of their insurance status.

Emotional Support Helpline for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals

The Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and the Department of Human Services’ Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services are offering a videophone helpline for individuals who are deaf and/or hard of hearing to access emotional support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sign language users are able to communicate directly with ACCESS St. Joseph’s Healthcare System in Paterson. Individuals who are deaf and/or hard of hearing can call 973-870-0677 VP, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

COVID-19 Activity Level Index (CALI) Weekly Reports

Every week, the Department of Health will provide information on COVID-19 transmission at the regional level, characterizing risk as low (green), moderate (yellow), high (orange), and very high (red).

FEMA Funeral Assistance

FEMA is providing financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020. To apply, call 844-684-6333. The hotline is open Monday through Friday 9 am to 9pm.
