New Jersey Highlands Water Protection and Planning Council

Harding Township is a rural community located in the southeastern part of Morris County. The township holds several distinctions including being home to the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, the Jockey Hollow section of the Morristown National Historical Park, and the headwaters of the Passaic River, which is a source of drinking water for more than 1 million people. The municipality is located entirely within the Planning Area of the Highlands region.
