The Borough of Peapack and Gladstone is a small, rural community in northern Somerset County characterized by rolling hills, farmlands, residential development, and a village center along its Main Street. The North Branch of the Raritan River forms its east and southeast boundary, and the borough has a well-connected transportation network with two NJ Transit train stations. Peapack and Gladstone is home to historic Natirar estate, the grounds of which comprise a county-owned park that extends into neighboring Far Hills and Bedminster. At 247 acres, the Peapack and Gladstone portion of the park comprises the largest area of preserved land in the borough.

RMP Consistency Review (Petition for Plan Conformance)

The Borough of Peapack and Gladstone is currently petitioning the Highlands Council for a review of its master plan and development regulations for alignment with the Highlands Regional Master Plan (RMP). The staff Consistency Review and Recommendations Report below provides an overview and analysis of this review. A public comment period on the report was held between October 29 and November 29. At this time, it is anticipated that the Council will take action on the petition at an upcoming public meeting.
