The Borough of Peapack and Gladstone is a small, rural community in northern Somerset County characterized by rolling hills, farmlands, residential development, and a village center along its Main Street. The North Branch of the Raritan River forms its east and southeast boundary, and the borough has a well-connected transportation network with two NJ Transit train stations. Peapack and Gladstone is home to historic Natirar estate, the grounds of which comprise a county-owned park that extends into neighboring Far Hills and Bedminster. At 247 acres, the Peapack and Gladstone portion of the park comprises the largest area of preserved land in the borough.

Public Comments: RMP Consistency Review

The Borough of Peapack and Gladstone is currently working with the Highlands Council to bring its local planning and regulatory documents in alignment with the Highlands Regional Master Plan (RMP). Highlands Council staff have reviewed submissions from the borough for consistency with the RMP and produced a report detailing that review and providing recommendations regarding the borough's conformance with the RMP. This Consistency Review and Recommendations Report is now available for public comment through Saturday, November 29, 2025.
