Union Township, in Hunterdon County, began working with the Highlands Council to help implement the Highlands Regional Master Plan (RMP) at the local level in 2022, but has not yet completed work required to be considered conforming with the Highlands Regional Master Plan (RMP). The municipality remains eligible for grant funding and technical support from the Highlands Council should it wish to re-engage.
