Washington Township is located in the southeastern portion of Warren County. Encircling the more developed Washington Borough, Washington Township is home to abundant farmland and open space, with the Musconetcong River and the Warren Heritage Scenic Byway forming its southeaster border. Pohatcong Creek parallels the Musconetcong to the northwest and several historic sites along the Morris Canal can be found within the Township.
