The State’s 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan, 2025 Annual Action Plan

NJ COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROCESS: The State of New Jersey through its Department of Community Affairs is collecting perspectives for the development of the State’s 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan, 2025 Annual Action Plan, and 2025 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing (AI). The Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan are required planning documents for the State’s use of its funds received from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development through the HOME, Community Development Block Grant, Emergency Solutions Grant, Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS, and Recovery Housing Programs. The Consolidated Plan analyzes data and community feedback to arrive at priority needs and goals that will drive funding decisions over the next five years. The AI assesses barriers to fair housing compliance and housing opportunity to develop action steps designed to affirmatively further fair housing. Your thoughts and experiences on needs in our communities are critical to the development of these plans.
HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP!
Take Our Surveys!
Take one of our community surveys! DCA is conducting two surveys – a resident survey to collect perspectives on the needs people see and experience in their own communities and a stakeholder survey to collect broad perspectives from organizations serving communities regionally and throughout the State. Please share the word about these surveys with your communities, networks, and clients, as applicable, to help us reach a diverse mix of people and geographies. These surveys close on December 23.
Join a Community Meeting!
DCA is hosting a series of community meetings to engage community members and stakeholder in conversation on topics related to community needs. See below for the meeting schedule. All sessions will be held via Zoom. Please register here for any topic that interests you, and the information to join the meeting will be emailed to you.
We hope you’ll take the time to participate in this important community process so that we can best serve communities across our State!
