CSBG State Plan
The CSBG program is within the Housing and Community Resources Division. The mission of the Division is to strengthen and revitalize communities through the delivery of affordable housing, supportive services, and the provision of financial and technical assistance to communities, local government and community-based organizations. CSBG is responsible for funding non-profit and governmental entities for the provision of health, education, employment and housing and other services to help New Jerseyans with low incomes alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty. Pursuant to the CSBG Act, 90% of the annual allocation must go to designated Community Action Agencies (CAAs).
