The Van Horne House, in which the Heritage Trail Association locates its headquarters, is a late 18th century building, remodeled as a Colonial Revival style house in the 1930s, and restored in 2002. The first floor contains permanent and rotating exhibit galleries as well as office and meeting space. The second floor is rented for income.

The Trust grant helped fund the preparation of an audio CD that provides 2 driving tours of more than 25 historic sites in Somerset County.
