The Haddonfield Friends school is located within the New Jersey and National Register listed Haddonfield Historic District. The District in 2017 received a Certificate of Eligibility for an expansion of the Period of Significance for the District to 1969. The oldest building associated with the school was constructed in 1786 as a single-story building by the Free School Society. Ownership in the building went to the Haddonfield Monthly Meeting of the Society of Friends in 1802. The school building was renovated, and a second story added in 1852. Other additions were made in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The 1914 ell addition to the rear of the school was replaced in 1946 with a two-story masonry block addition. Another masonry block and brick building were added in 1966 to the grouping.

The 2021 Trust grant will help fund exterior preservation of the Haddonfield Friends School along with ADA accessibility upgrades and upgrades to the HVAC system for the main school and its additions. The 2019 Trust grant helped fund a Historic Preservation Plan and Use plan for three buildings comprising the Haddonfield Friends School.
