The Homestead Farm at Oak Ridge makes up an approximately 208-acre site located in what was known as Ash Swamp during the Revolutionary Era. Run as a plantation-style farm, the homestead is significant not only because of its architecture, but also its association with Revolutionary War events. The large, 18-room main house is the only building from the original homestead that remains. The main block of the house retains many Federal elements, while the additions on either side feature Italianate and Dutch Colonial influences. The homestead was used as a private residence until 1930 when it was converted into a golf course known as the Oak Ridge Golf Club. The main house functioned as the club house until 2009 when the golf course closed and Union County converted the property into Oak Ridge Park.

The Trust grant helped fund the preparation of a historic structure report.
