The John Woolman Memorial, a historic property commemorating the legacy of Quaker abolitionist John Woolman since 1915, is located in a residential area of Mount Holly. The main house, a three-bay brick building, was constructed for Jabez Woolston in 1783. It features two later additions: a nineteenth century front porch and a twentieth century lean-to kitchen. The house retains a great deal of its original character and integrity. The property also includes a caretaker’s house, two outbuildings, and the remnants of a 1930 outdoor amphitheater designed by landscape architect Howard Fisker of Passaic County.  Since 1915, the property has been owned, operated, and maintained by the John Woolman Association.

The Trust grant helped fund the creation of a Historic Preservation Plan which includes considerations for restoration of the historic landscape.
