The Oradell Railroad Station is a fine example of a highly ornamented, Queen Anne style railroad station with adjoining freight house. Some of its most notable features include a central tower, corbeled chimneys, turned columns, decorative ironwork, and art glass windows. Built in 1890, the station sits along the north/south Pascack Valley rail line just west of the Hackensack River. The Oradell Railroad Station has served as an active commuter spot for over 130 years. It also served as the end point of double tracking from Rutherford Junction as well as the control point for signals and switches.
The Trust grant will help fund an update to an existing Preservation Plan.
