The Borough of Medford Lakes began as a planned summer resort, dating from 1927, with nearly all buildings constructed of logs. In keeping with the rustic character of the community, the Protestant Community Church was constructed in 1931 and has been in continuous use as a house of worship as well as providing space for community activities.    

The Trust grant helped fund the stabilization of a failing corner of the foundation, and replacement of deteriorated logs throughout the building.
