The house was constructed by businessman and farmer Amzi Stephens in c. 1865. The Second Empire style building retains its original architectural elements including plaster ceiling medallions, decorative doors and trim, exterior brackets, and window hoods among others. Donated by the Stephens family, the house and its furnishings were turned over the State in 2007.
The Trust grant will help fund the roof replacement and other needed exterior repairs.
