Christ Church is an anchor in the Middletown Historic District and is used primarily for public events. The church was founded by Christian missionaries who traveled from London to New Jersey in 1702. The church was constructed in 1836, and celebrates 300 years of worship in Middletown.
The most recent Trust grant helped fund the structural stabilization of the tower and foundation. Previous grants helped fund construction drawings for the stabilization, repair and restoration of the church bell tower, foundation and floor supports, and a preservation plan to guide the repairs.
