Centennial Cottage was constructed in 1879 for Elizabeth Fell in the style of a Swiss Chalet. The name Centennial Cottage refers to the 100th anniversary of the founding of Ocean Grove and the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association. In 1969, the owners of Centennial Cottage donated the building to the Camp Meeting Association in honor of the anniversary. The building was moved approximately nine blocks to its current location. The Historical Society of Ocean Grove leases the building from the Camp Meeting Association and uses the building as a living history museum.
The grant helped fund the replacement of the wood shingle roof and copper flashing.
