The Hightstown United Methodist Church (1898) is architecturally significant for its embodiment of the distinctive characteristics of the Gothic Revival style.

The Trust matching grant helped fund the stabilization of the structure, the addressing of masonry concerns, and the return of the building to its documented historic appearance. Paint and mortar analysis, archaeological testing, and a nomination for historic designation were also proposed.
