Manahawkin Baptist Church is a Gothic Revival Church built in 1759. The grounds contain a site of a Revolutionary War skirmish in 1781 and a mass burial ground for numerous shipwreck victims. Owned by the Historical Society, the building was widely used for summer concerts and historical tours, though structural concerns have forced the society to limit the use of the building.
The 2006 Trust grant helped fund a detailed structural assessment and the preparation of architectural and engineering construction documents and specifications. The previous Trust matching grant helped fund the preparation of a preservation plan that identified preservation priorities for the structure.
