The Middle Valley Community Center is a contributing resource in the New Jersey and National Register listed Middle Valley Historic District. The original portion of the building was constructed ca. 1790 for David Miller. The building then served as a general store and post office before being acquired by the Middle Valley Hall Association in 1891. At this date the building was enlarged and rehabilitated. In 1904 an approximately 35-foot tall bell tower was added to the front of the building. The vernacular building exhibits some fine architectural details such as dentil molding along the eaves. Under the ownership of the Middle Valley Hall Association the building served as a schoolroom, chapel, public meeting space and a circuit court. In 1975 the Middle Valley Hall Association was reincorporated as the Middle Valley Community Center.

The Trust grant helped fund the preparation of a condition assessment and the preparation of floor plans.
