The proposed Bread Lock Park is on the site of the Morris Canal Lock 7 West, an intact archeological site that includes remnants of the lock, tender's house, retaining wall, towpath and two barns.
The Trust grant will fund the creation of planning documents that will assess the condition of the site and buildings and make recommendations for their interpretation. The Park will be a featured location on Warren County's proposed Morris Canal greenway and heritage trail.
