Constructed in 1792, the New Jersey State House is the second oldest state capitol in continuous use in the United States.

The Trust matching grant helped fund masonry restoration on the legislative wing of the Capital, one important phase of a major rehabilitation and restoration project spanning the entire complex. The New Jersey State House was one of the largest restoration projects in the country during the 1990s.
