Designed by Frank J. Nies in 1914 for the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad, this two-story brick station is the last historic railroad station in Warren County. Its design is documented with original construction drawings. The building operated as a passenger and freight station until 1961 and was later used for commercial businesses
The Trust grant helped fund the preparation of a preservation plan that set priorities for exterior restoration, accessibility and interior rehabilitation as a Transportation Heritage Museum. The museum will be part of the Philipsburg Railroad Museum, and enhance the outdoor interpretive and interactive visitor experience.
