The Prallsville Mill complex dates to the early 1700s and was a key component of this early industrial village. The site and nearby quarry were originally owned by John Prall, Jr. from 1790 to 1831, and was later associated with the Delaware and Raritan Canal in the late nineteenth century. The ten-building historic complex includes among others an 1877 grist mill, a 1790 linseed oil mill, an 1850 sawmill, and a 1900 grain silo. The mills contributed to the Industrial Revolution and the many water-powered industries on the complex date to the 1700s. Acquired by the state in 1973, the property has been leased to the Delaware River Mill Society since 1976.

The 2022 Trust grant will help fund the preparation of a multi-year strategic plan for Prallsville Mills.

The 2004 Trust grant helped fund the rehabilitation of this structure for use as an art gallery with space for public events and educational programs.

Earlier grants helped fund restoration work at the Gristmill, Grain Silo, and the structural stabilization of the Saw Mill.
