The Solomon Wesley church is an unusually intact example of a mid-nineteenth century African American church, built to serve a rural community. The church is historically associated with the community of freed slaves known as the Village of Davistown.
The 1990 and 1992 Trust matching grants helped fund exterior and interior restoration work.
