Erected in 1896, the church is significant as an early church design by Philadelphia architect Horace Trumbauer. Today, the congregation has an active congregation and a outreach to the community.
The matching grant will help fund the first phase of a fifteen-year capital campaign for this church. The work includes masonry restoration, structural repairs, replacement of slate roofs and water conduction systems, some stained glass window restoration and repairs to other windows.
