The Castle at Felician College is the only nineteenth-century resource on the campus of mid-twentieth century buildings. Featuring exquisite mantelpieces and stained glass windows, the interior of the Castle is currently covered in 1950s paneling and dropped ceilings. However, much of the original finishes appear to remain intact.
The 2006 matching grant helped fund the interior restoration and rehabilitation of this former residence to fuse as a student union and administration building. The project included restoring interior finishes, window restoration and access improvements. Previous Trust grants helped to fund the exterior restoration of the masonry and the preparation of a preservation plan that is guiding all repair and restoration work.
