Historic Site Management Grant
Grant Award: $49,350 (2012) Grant Recipient: Trinity Episcopal Church County: MonmouthMunicipality: Asbury Park
Trinity Episcopal Church embodies many distinctive characteristics of the English Gothic Revival Style and represents a fine example of the body of work by Clarence Wilson Brazer, an accomplished regional architect, who was educated in Asbury Park. The main elevation is dominated by a single large pointed-arch tracery window with stained glass, flanked by twin hexagonal towers. The Church contributes to the significance of the Asbury Park Library Square Historic District.
The Trust grant helped fund preparation of a National Register nomination, preservation plan, and plans for improved ADA access.
