Grant Recipient: Borough of Island Heights

Wanamaker Hall is an unusual Neo-Gothic Revival building designed to look like a European medieval castle. Constructed in 1904 for John Wanamaker's employees, the camp was also used by the Army, as a Presbyterian Camp and finally as the municipal offices.

The Trust grant helped fund the preparation of a landscape plan and update of an existing preservation plan, with special attention to assessing current building conditions and preparing accurate cost estimates for rehabilitation.
