The CBVI Community Connection Call (CCC), first launched in mid-December 2020 by the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CBVI). It is a dynamic platform that fosters connections, disseminates valuable resources, and engages with consumers, agency staff, service providers, and community partners. Each session is carefully curated and delivered by the Community Outreach Unit to highlight CBVI programs, feature presentations by professional staff that benefit those in the blindness community, and present success stories from those with severe low vision or blindness.

The call serves to increase awareness of blindness and low vision, strengthen community ties, and enhance the overall quality of life for those receiving services from CBVI. Participants gain access to information and insights in a supportive space, allowing them to connect with others who are Helping Professionals.

Our CCC is hosted monthly as a virtual meeting via Zoom and accessible via the Zoom teleconference line. Detailed written announcements are circulated in advance for inclusive participation. It is also supported by the NJ Relay captioning services to ensure full accessibility.
