CBVI’s Outreach efforts extend into all 21 counties of New Jersey as staff members attend community events, health & wellness fairs, resource fairs, job fairs, community events, and more, both virtually and in person. It is the aim of the CBVI Outreach Unit, the Business Relations Unit, and all Regional Offices to increase community engagement, enhance the experience of CBVI consumers, and develop collaborative experiences with other community and state organizations to increase awareness of CBVI services and bring about positive outcomes for CBVI consumers.

Each year we connect with thousands of community members and work to collaborate or reach out to several hundred community providers, event organizers, businesses, and more in our ongoing efforts to acquire important contacts to partner with as we work hard to bring CBVI services to the public at large, and to help the blind, deafblind, and visually impaired community gain valuable resources to assist with full community integration.

The Business Relations Unit (BRU) held a virtual career fair on October 29, 2025, is continuing Community Outreach to employers, providing disability etiquette to employers, and finding ways to meet employer needs.
