The Administration Division is comprised of five units, which provide services for the staff of the Board of Public Utilities.
The Office of Human Resources is responsible for human resource management, which includes, processing all personnel actions, recruitment, orientations, reclassifications, transfers, reassignments, performance assessment activity, payroll and retirements. Additionally, Human Resources manages all benefits activities including: health, dental, vision, and prescription plans for employees.
Employee Relations activities involving disciplines, labor relations accountability, employee incentive programs, and security issues are functions of the Division of Administration. The Division also assists management in administration of civil service regulations and proposes policies and procedures relating to the workplace.
The Division’s responsibilities include broad-based facility management and support by the Bureau of Office Services. Areas of responsibility include the copier services, incoming/outgoing mailroom functions, message and courier service, distribution of office supplies and maintenance of stock room. The Division also provides support in managing the Board's assigned vehicles, installation and relocation of telephone equipment and managing inter-office moves.
The Office of EEO/AA administers the Agency’s Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action program. This includes recruitment, investigation of complaints, and enforcement of State and Federal civil rights laws and regulations.
The Office of Training Initiatives reviews, recommends and implements training initiatives for staff based on short and long range needs. This includes locating resources, negotiating terms and conditions, and implementing training in compliance with agreements between the training sources and the NJBPU.
