National Disaster Resilience Plans and Reports

The State of New Jersey received $15 million in National Disaster Resilience funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support the creation of regional resiliency planning programs that will assist flood-prone regions and communities in better addressing their increased flooding risk. The New Jersey National Disaster Resilience application, which HUD approved in January 2016, describes in detail the State’s proposed use of the funding, which involves helping communities assess their repetitive flooding challenges and then develop workable solutions that can be implemented to counter those challenges.
