New Help Desk Comment Feature Now Available
NJSLEDS has introduced an enhanced commenting feature for Help Desk tickets, making it easier to track updates, share clarifications, and ensure faster resolution. With this improvement, creating and managing tickets directly inside the NJSLEDS system is now the preferred method of communicating with the Help Desk. Users can submit new requests by clicking "Contact Help Desk" from the NJSLEDS homepage or review updates and comment on existing cases using the "View All Cases" option.
Important Reminder: Ensure You Receive NJSLEDS Case Notifications
NJSLEDS Help Desk notifications and case updates are sent from noreply@salesforce.com. Districts should ensure this address is allowed on their local email “whitelist” so case responses, status updates, and resolution notices are not blocked or routed to spam. Failure to allow this address may result in missed Help Desk communications and delayed issue resolution. If you are unsure whether this address is permitted, please contact your district’s IT team.
Account Security Reminder
The NJDOE emphasizes strong account security and prohibits account sharing. Remember, only your district's Web User Administrator (WUA) can make changes to user access or permissions in NJSLEDS. If you need updates to your account, such as adding or removing roles, adjusting permissions, or resolving access issues, please contact your district's WUA directly.
Seal of Biliteracy Reminders – Important Deadlines
As a reminder, the Seal of Biliteracy testing window for 12th grade students closes on February 17, 2026. Please ensure that all eligible seniors have completed their assessments and that results are reviewed and entered in a timely manner.
Additionally, the Student Management Biliteracy submission deadline closes on March 10 (the testing window for 11th graders opened January 1, 2026). All LEAs must finalize and submit their Biliteracy data in the Student Management Submission before the 5:00 pm deadline to ensure accurate reporting for the 2025–2026 school year.
Staff Vacancy Submission Update
The previously scheduled February mid-year Staff Vacancy submission deadline has been removed. The end-of-year Staff Vacancy submission deadline remains June 30. LEAs should continue preparing their data as usual, so they are ready when the revised collection window opens.
Begin Checking Mid-Year SIS Data—Don't Wait for the Next Submission Period
Now is an ideal time to review your mid-year NJSLEDS data in your student information system (SIS) for accuracy and completeness. Waiting until the next submission window opens can create avoidable time pressures and increase the likelihood of persistent errors across files.
We encourage all users to:
- Ensure new students have valid SIDs
- Review enrollment, demographic, program, attendance, and assessment data for any midyear updates
- Clear up validation issues early
Proactive data checks now will help ensure smoother official submissions later in the year.
