State Assessment Vendor Update – No Changes to NJSLEDS Submission Templates
The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) has announced the selection of a new statewide assessment vendor, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. This change applies to the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLA), New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA), and related testing platforms. The updated statewide assessment schedule and vendor information are outlined in the August 13, 2025 NJDOE broadcast memo.
Impact on NJSLEDS Submissions
At this time, the shift to a new vendor does not affect the structure of State Assessment Registration (SAR) submissions in NJSLEDS. All districts should continue to use the existing SAR submission templates and guidance. No changes have been made to the file layout, required data elements, or validation rules.
Key Reminders for SAR Prep:
- SAR records must match active, validated Student Management records in NJSLEDS.
- Each student must have a record for each applicable subject (ELA, Math, and Science as required).
Templates and handbooks are available to support file preparation in advance of the submission window.
