The NJDOE has approved extensions to four Fall NJSLEDS submissions:

• Student Management: Now closes November 3, 2025, at 5:00 PM (as of date remains October 15, 2025)
• (NEW) Staff Management: Now closes November 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM (as of date remains October 15, 2025)
• Special Education: New window November 5-December 4, 2025 (as of date remains October 15, 2025)
• (NEW) Performance Report: Now closes December 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM

These extensions allow districts additional time to address credential delays, ID management issues, and system access challenges while maintaining data quality during the transition to NJSLEDS. Districts should update internal timelines accordingly but reporting rules and “as of” dates remain unchanged.

As part of the field test with the new assessment company, districts may continue to add Active student records in NJSLEDS after October 15, 2025.

If a district identifies a new student who is not part of the field test, but requires a State ID (SID) for assessment or other program participation, the district may add the student to NJSLEDS following the same process.

These records should only be added for students who are:

• New to New Jersey public education (i.e., have never been assigned a State ID number), and
• Enrolled in your district on or after October 15, 2025.

When adding these students, please ensure that:

• The DistrictEntryDate and SchoolEntryDate accurately reflect the actual dates the student began attending the district and school.
• Neither date is set in the future.
• The record is marked as Active at both the district and school levels to indicate the student is currently enrolled

Update: The Grade Level validation rule has been corrected for students under 6.

Previously, some records for students under 6 were incorrectly flagged as errors. These records will now pass validation once resubmitted.

Action Required: Please re-upload any student records under age 6 that were previously in error due to Grade Level validation. Verify that the Date of Birth and Grade Level values are accurate before re-uploading.
