Rapid Legal Response Initiative
In response to growing legal needs associated with immigration detention and enforcement activity, The Office of New Americans, in partnership with Seton Hall University, is launching the Rapid Legal Response Initiative to expand statewide legal capacity for emergency immigration defense matters, including habeas corpus petitions and other federal litigation.
The initiative will focus on:
- Recruiting and training attorneys;
- Expanding emergency legal support capacity; and
- Coordinating rapid legal response efforts statewide.
