The New Jersey Departments of Human Services and Labor and Workforce Development prepared a report to outline recent accomplishments and next steps and recommendations on setting priorities for the Office of New Americans

New Jersey is home to nearly 2 million immigrants and refugees whose communities represent significant geographic and language diversity. This brief provides data on countries of birth and language spoken at home other than English among immigrants and refugees across New Jersey and in the state’s three main regions, as well as language access needs among individuals with limited English proficiency.
