The Special Investigations Section is the investigative component of the New Jersey State Police dedicated to meeting the specialized forensic and investigative needs of the Division and State at any time.

It is the mission of the New Jersey State Police Special Investigations Section to improve the quality of life for the citizens of and visitors to the State of New Jersey through the investigation, development of intelligence about, deterrence, and subsequent elimination of criminal acts conducted by individuals and organized criminal elements. This mission is to be accomplished by providing a full service investigative organization capable of providing safeguards for the social, economic, and political functions of the citizens of and visitors to the state.
